Why I'm building Manager Tools
January 01, 2026
I’ve been a backend engineer for over 13 years. I know how to build things. But when I decided to start something on my own, I hit a wall I didn’t expect: there’s an absurd amount of stuff to do before you even get to the actual work.
I needed a website. I needed to handle missed calls. I wanted to write content but never had time to sit down and do it. I needed to track tasks across multiple projects. And every platform that promised to solve these problems wanted $300/month for a bundle of features I’d never touch.
So I started building the tools I needed. One at a time.
The idea behind Manager Tools
Manager Tools isn’t a platform. It’s a collection of individual tools — each one solving a specific problem. You don’t need to sign up for a system. You pick the tool that solves your most immediate problem and start using it.
- Receptionist catches missed calls so you don’t lose leads
- SiteKit builds you a real website from a few questions
- Voice Post turns your voice into written content
- Agents handle repetitive tasks so you can focus
- Taskboard tracks your work without the bloat
What to expect from this blog
I’ll be writing about what I’m building, why I’m building it, and what I’m learning along the way. No marketing fluff — just honest updates from someone figuring it out in public.
If you’re starting something on your own and feeling overwhelmed by how much there is to do — you’re in the right place. Pick one tool and start. That’s the whole philosophy.
